Jim Squatriglia
Commercial Producer for Summit Insurance Group
Summit Insurance Group is a family-owned and operated insurance agency specializing in commercial, personal, and life insurance. Established in 1995 by Rob and Lisa Squatriglia, the company represents more than 50 insurance carriers and works heavily with businesses in the construction and artisan trades.
Their son, Jim Squatriglia, joined the family business in 2020 and specializes in commercial insurance for general contractors, artisans and skilled trades—plumbing, flooring, tile, carpentry, roofing, and more.
But Jim says his role goes beyond simply providing a policy.
“I work with business owners to make sure their insurance fits how they operate,” Jim explains. “A lot of people don’t realize how exposed they are until something goes wrong. My job is to help implement measures that prevent surprises while also ensuring the business is protected if the worst happens.”
Jim says the relationships are his favorite part of the job. He genuinely enjoys getting to know business owners and hearing how they built their companies. “There’s a lot of pride in the construction and trade industries, and I really respect that.”
Working with family is another highlight. Rob and Lisa started the company out of the bonus room of their home. Today, Summit Insurance Group has grown to a team of 20 employees and is based in the heart of Huntersville. Jim also works alongside his sister and the family dog, who proudly serves as the company’s Chief Morale Officer.
“We don’t just sell insurance,” Jim says. “We help businesses mitigate and manage risk. We look at how they operate, identify their exposures, and make sure they’re protected properly. When something does happen, we advocate for our clients. You’re not just buying a policy—you’re protecting a business you’ve worked hard to build. We take that seriously.”
Outside the office, Jim enjoys mountain biking, hiking, and live music. If you’re spending time at the Whitewater Center, keep an eye out—you just might see him on the trails!

Adrian Stout
Adrian Stout is a benefits consultant with United Benefits, a full-service benefits company specializing in helping small business owners protect their employees’ financial security.
Adrian focuses on supplemental health insurance, which provides employees and their families with cash benefits when they need it most—during a serious illness or accident. This money can be used to help with deductibles, copays, mortgage or rent, car payments, etc. One of the biggest advantages is that the rate you get is the rate you keep—forever.
United Benefits offers several plans including:
- Accident Insurance
- Cancer Insurance
- Heart Attack & Stroke Insurance
- Hospital Indemnity
- Short-Term Disability
- Permanent Whole Life Insurance
- Retirement solutions including 401(k)s, pensions, and retirement accounts
Adrian’s favorite part of his job is educating people—breaking down supplemental health insurance in simple terms and showing how it can make a real financial difference when life takes an unexpected turn.
The most challenging part of the job is getting busy business owners to slow down long enough to have the conversation. Many don’t realize how critical these benefits can be—for both their employees and their business—until they see it firsthand.
The most rewarding moments come when a client with a cancer policy—or a covered family member—receives a significant cash payout during the fight of their life. Being able to provide that kind of help is far more important to Adrian than selling any policy.
Adrian has lived in the Charlotte area for over 25 years. Originally from Pittsburgh, PA, he moved to the area to attend UNC Charlotte and never left.
Outside of work, Adrian enjoys spending time with family and working out. He brings passion and energy into everything he does, truly believes in what he offers and enjoys helping people understand how to protect what matters most.
United Benefits has put together an exclusive benefits package available only to NARI of Greater Charlotte members, their employees and their families. This package includes:
- Access to supplemental health insurance plans
- A special partnership with a mortgage company
- A discount card valid at 15 local businesses
- Estate planning services
- Online college courses at 50% off (or more!)
