The ROC

The ROC rolled out in August, 2018 with the goal to bring construction management, advanced carpentry, electrical, and HVAC trades to junior and senior high school students on the west side of Charlotte. Located in an existing 15,000 SF facility donated by Goodwill Industries located at 1335 Alleghany Street, the building has been retrofitted (to the tune of almost $2,700,000) with state-of-the-art classrooms and laboratory bays each with industry specific equipment allowing instructors to work directly with students. Central Piedmont Community College provides all teacher instruction services via the Career and College Promise pathway allowing students to earn both high school and college credits.
